Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat Berhad is overseen by a board of directors consisting of highly experienced and respectable individuals.

All board members are equal shareholders.

Post-acquisition, the board will be assisted by existing capable management team of the highway concessions.

Dato' Idrose Mohamed has more than 40 years of extensive experience both in the government and private sector, spanning various industries such as construction, project and infrastructure implementation, engineering and operations management. He joined the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) as a Civil Engineer in 1983, where he served in various positions and was involved in the development of expressways. During his 17 years of service in the government before moving to the private sector in 1994, he was involved in the planning and implementation of the multi-billion-ringgit North-South Expressway. Before his retirement in September 2010, he headed several public listed and government-linked companies as the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, namely PLUS Expressways Berhad, Pos Malaysia Berhad and Prasarana Malaysia Berhad. He was also on the board of EcoWorld Malaysia as an Independent Non-Executive Director from 2013 to 2021.

Dato' Ir Soam Heng Choon has extensive experience in construction and property development. Dato' Ir Soam started his career in 1979 with the Ministry of Works. Subsequently, he joined Road Builder (M) Holdings Berhad from 1989 to 2003, and his last held position was as an Executive Director. He joined IJM Land Berhad in 2004 as an Executive Director (at the time of his appointment, known as RB Land Holdings Berhad) and assumed the position of Managing Director in 2006. He was then redesignated as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of IJM Land in 2010. After heading several divisions, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of IJM Corporation Berhad in 2015. He aggressively expanded various divisions in the IJM Group before retiring in 2019. He is currently the President of Malaysia's Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (REHDA).

Dato' Dr Nirmala Menon has over three decades of experience in the insurance services and health sectors. Trained as a physician, she was a medical officer at Hospital Kuala Lumpur for seven years before starting her career in the insurance industry. In 2007, she became the first woman Chief Executive Officer in the life insurance industry in Malaysia when she was appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer of ING Malaysia Bhd. She then assumed the role of the Head of South Asia position at ING Asia Pacific Ltd. Dato' Dr Nirmala has held various senior executive positions, namely as the Executive Vice President and Head of Designated Markets & Health Asia at Metlife Asia Pacific Ltd. She was also a former Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad and Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad. She is currently the Independent Director of Bank Negara Malaysia and Independent Non-Executive Director of Aviva Singlife Singapore and Sime Darby Berhad.

Dato' Sharil has a wealth of experience in corporate and regulatory sectors, as well as legal and financial advisory. A law graduate, he started his career as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, practising with Azman Davidson & Co and later, Zaid Ibrahim & Co. He also possesses uniquely diverse experience in both the public and private sectors. In 2009, he joined Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) as its Chief Operating Officer. Subsequently, he was appointed to the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MCMC from 2011 to 2014. Dato' Sharil went on to become Non-Executive Chairman of several public listed companies, namely Privasia Technology Berhad, Opcom Holdings Berhad and Bina Darulaman Berhad where he assisted the companies through some difficult times in 2020 and 2021. He has very broad international experience in the technology, media and communications (“TMT”) space and is active in the technology startup scene. He is also a Senior Advisor with ASEAN Advisory, Singapore, and an Authority Member of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), and was, until recently, a Director of Digital Nasional Berhad, the national single wholesale network (SWN) provider for 5G in Malaysia.

Mr Chew is a Chartered Accountant Fellow (FCA, CAANZ) and member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) with extensive experience in business advisory, government consulting, corporate management and board positions. He started his public practice career in 1980 after graduating from University of Auckland, New Zealand, and retired as a senior worldwide partner of Arthur Andersen in 2002. He has directed many government consulting projects involving public policy and sectoral reform, corporatisation and privatisation of regulated monopolies such as airports, broadcasting, telecommunication, utilities as well as build-operate-transfer (BOT) & private public partnership (PPP) of new infrastructure projects in highways, ports and public services. Mr Chew’s business advisory experience for GLCs and PLCs include corporate turnarounds, performance management, cost optimisation and change management. From 2004 to 2008, he was Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of Dataprep Holdings Bhd, a Bursa Malaysia-listed IT services provider. During the period from 2008 to 2010, he was the Managing Director of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad’s strategic advisory division. He was a commission member at Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for two terms between 2013 to 2021. He was a board member of Zico Holdings Inc, a Catalist company on Singapore Exchange between 2016-2024. Currently, he is a board member of MISC Berhad (Bursa Malaysia).
